Puff Daddy & The Family - Auction (Video)

By Bad Boy Entertainment

Puff Daddy released MMM (Money Making Mitch) three months ago, and it feels like people still haven’t fully grasped how big of a moment it was. This is a man who, according to Forbes, has a net worth of three-quarters of a billion dollars, and he dropped a mixtape. For free. On his birthday. That’s the definition of an ultimate flex from the Bad Boy head honcho. The project is chock-full of bangers, including “Auction,” which receives the proper visual treatment today. It shouldn’t be too big of a surprise here that Puff Daddy taps legendary director Hype Williams as the man behind the lens considering their rich history, including work together on the music videos for “Big Poppa,” “Mo Money Mo Problems,” and more recently “Finna Get Loose” and “Workin.” Hype does more with less for this MMM standout track by going with a white backdrop that perfectly contrasts with Puffy, Styles P, Lil’ Kim, and King Los dressed in all black like The Omen. This keeps the focus on the rappers, and they deliver with undeniable energy and a boastful blend that feels right at home when Puffy kicks off the track with, “God is all I fear, money machine is all I hear.” If that doesn’t motivate you, we don’t know what will.

Puff Daddy & The Family - Blow A Check (Video)

By Bad Boy Entertainment

Puff Daddy released MMM, the precursor to his “final album”, in November and today, he shares a visual for the final track on the tape, a remix to “Blow A Check,” which features Zoey Dollaz and French Montana. The clip features the three rappers having unique cash-based fantasies. After being chased through an alleyway by a bunch of women, Puff sits on a throne while a huge pile of cash goes up in flames behind him. What’s a Puff video without some flames? French gets the Jordan Belfort treatment and is thrust into Wall Street life for his dream sequence. In an email to The FADER, French explained that the song’s message is about taking control of your own future. “Don’t wait on nobody,” he said. “Don’t put your plans and dreams in someone’s hands. Sometimes you might get depressed, waiting on the person who you think supposed to help you, when the person you’ve been waiting on to help you your whole life is you.”
